Dr. Andreas Birk

I am founder and principal consultant of Software.Process.Management, committed to establishing software processes that create business value.

In more than fifteen years in the software industry and with leading applied research institutions, I have built a profound understanding how software engineering contributes to sustained business success.

I am deeply familiar with industrial software development practice from various engagements as project lead, solution architect and quality manager.

My ongoing research activities have provided me with a comprehensive knowledge of up-to-date software engineering methods, including requirements management, software product lines, process improvement, and others.

I am a widely-published author in renowned national and international journals and magazines. I speak regularly at international conferences.

I hold a diploma (Dipl.-Inform.) in software engineering and economics, and a PhD in software engineering (Dr.-Ing.) from University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. I am a member of ACM, IEEE CS, and GI.

Gerald Heller

I am principal consultant of Software.Process.Management and help organizations to improve their software business in the areas of requirements engineering, software product management, and test management.

My expertise is built on 20 years experience of globally distributed, large scale software development. My professional activities and responsibilities have covered almost every aspect of the software lifecycle.

Regularly, I speak at international conferences and publish in journals.

I hold a diploma in computer science (Dipl.-Inf. Univ.) from Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany. I am a member of IEEE CS, GI and ASQF. I am founding member of the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA).
