Dr. Andreas Birk

I am founder and principal consultant of Software.Process.Management, committed to establishing software processes that create business value.

In more than fifteen years in the software industry and with leading applied research institutions, I have built a profound understanding how software engineering contributes to sustained business success.

I am deeply familiar with industrial software development practice from various engagements as project lead, solution architect and quality manager.

My ongoing research activities have provided me with a comprehensive knowledge of up-to-date software engineering methods, including requirements management, software product lines, process improvement, and others.

I am a widely-published author in renowned national and international journals and magazines. I speak regularly at international conferences.

I hold a diploma (Dipl.-Inform.) in software engineering and economics, and a PhD in software engineering (Dr.-Ing.) from University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. I am a member of ACM, IEEE CS, and GI.
